There is still no prominent Democrats personality that has come out to challenge President Joe Biden in Party primaries.
Joe Biden, now at 80, is the oldest US President in US history, and so far, has already given two strong hints that he’d consider running for second term come 2024. Joe Biden has had a rough walk in both Houses – of the Congress and the Senate. The rival party of Republican has been dominating the two floors – given the fact that they (Republicans) have numerical strength in both Houses.
So far, there are only two announced candidates for the 2024 Democratic presidential nomination: best-selling self-help author Marianne Williamson and anti-vaccine activist Robert Kennedy Jr.
The two aren’t among the senior members of the ruling party, albeit their expressed interest. Behind the scenes, however, the incumbent leader and his lead advisers are clandestinely assembling a campaign team and staffing the independent political action committee, which will provide financial support for a bid for the president’s re-election.
About two months ago, in her maiden trip to African continent as US First Lady, Jill Biden said that the timing of the formal announcement was “pretty much” all that was left to be decided.
“How many times does he have to say it for you to believe it?” she told AP during the visit, refering to her husband Joe Biden.
