Iteso music Icon Obasie palnyang is dead, according to his family Obasie died while receiving treatment at a Busia hospital.
The Iteso council of elders in their condolence massage described Obasie as a hard-working musician who inspired and ensured Iteso culture is passed to the next generation.
Obasie is remembered for blessing and calling for all the Teso to support the current Busia governor Sospeter Ojamoong’.
In his massage Ojamoong described Obasie as a mentor and a friend, he promised the family that Busia county will pay for all funeral expenses.
Obasie will be remembered with his songs Akidava ipejok, Abalanga kimusa and elolo idalo
