The Kenyan Deputy President William Ruto on Monday evening gifted a female taxi driver with a new car for her business.
Mary Wambui is the mother of Abilasha, a young girl whose dream of reciting a poem to the Deputy President materialized the day her and her mother visited Murang’a county where the DP was hosting an event.
Fortunately, they were lucky to be given an audience and Abilasha finally managed to recite her poem to the Deputy President after many unsuccessful attempts.
After the recital, Abilasha and her mum who is a taxi driver presented their case to the second in command and today marked a major milestone in their lives.
The woman who has been an Uber driver for long was lucky to walk home with a new car for her business thanks to the Deputy President.
