Interior CS Matiang’i summoned by the Senate

Interior Cs Dr Fred Matiang’i

The interior cabinet secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i and inspector general Hillary Mutyambai have been summoned to the senate security committee over the arrest of three senators today morning when they were expected to seat for the revenue sharing formula.

Speaker Kenneth Lusaka said that the interior Cs and the inspector general should be summoned to the committee by Wednesday, citing that the senate will not live on its knees.

Senators; Cleophas Malala of Kakamega, Steve Lelegwe of Samburu and Christopher Lang’at of Bomet were arrested today morning, the day when the senate was expected to determine the revenue sharing formula for the counties.

This comes after Matiang’i had been summoned earlier by the same senate for failing to appear before them four times.
