Nyeri magistrate Pauline Omung’ala who was charged with her husband’s murder gets back her Job after a labour court ruled that it was wrong for the Chief justice David Maraga to suspend her without pay.
Labour court judge Byrum Ongaya noted in his ruling that it was not legal for Maraga to suspend Pauline without salary. Magistrate Omung’ala was suspended by the chief justice Maraga on April last year after she was charged with murder of her husband Robert Chesang who was a lawyer.
Pauline Omung’ala will continue working as a Nyeri resident magistrate and receive her salaries as usual.
