The man who was arrested for having masqueraded to be an advocate has received applauses from Martha Karua and other leaders.
Other leaders who’ve expressed their love and support for the man are COTU (K) Secretary General Francis Atwoli, and Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei.
The Azimio deputy principal termed the man as bold after it was reported that the man had argued 26 cases in courts, and ended up winning all the cases.
It is said that even though the man hadn’t had any law education, he had persistently represented different clients before different courts of law, and ended up winning all the cases.
Ms Martha Karua promised to foot all the education bills for the young man so that the latter would realise his dream job. In a statement on Friday, Karua commended him for what she termed as “unmatched confidence”.
“I will make sure the young man realises his dream of being a real lawyer. I will sponsor his education to whichever level he wants. His confidence is unmatched,” she said.
On his part, Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei offered to mentor the man on matters law until he realises his dream job.
“I’m willing to mentor and guide him to become the best legal practitioner/advocate of the high courts and commonwealth courts,” Cherargei said.
The man was arrested by the Law Society of Kenya Nairobi Branch Rapid Action Team (RAT) over the claims of false pretense.
In a statement, the (LSK) Law Society of Kenya said that the man was neither an advocate of the High Court of Kenya nor a member of the society. LSK said the man falsely claimed to be an advocate by impersonating a genuine advocate, whose practice status was inactive.
