Homabay town MP Peter Kaluma tables anti homosexuality bill in parliament

Homa Bay Town legislator Peter Kaluma has tabled the “Family Protection Bill” in parliament that seeks to ban homosexuality, same-sex marriages and any hint of LGBTQ activities and lobbying in the country.

The new Bill prohibits the promotion of LGBTQ in the country by clamping down on its promoters and funding by various groups.

“I have submitted the Family Protection Bill to the National Assembly. It seeks to ban comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in Pre-primary, primary and secondary schools education programs,” he said.

The Kaluma bill seeks to outlaw sexual health rights and education, outlaws homosexual adoption and forbids performing sex activities on animals. If passed, the bill would include penalties ranging from death to at least ten years in prison.

Foregn Affiars Principal Secretary Dr. Abraham Singoei condemned the Kaluma bill terming it a unnecessary and uncalled. “A legislative proposal completely at odds with our liberal constitutional order.” he said on his twitter handle.
