South Sudanese ambassador to Eritrea collapsed and died inside Kenya Commercial Bank in Nairobi while being attended to by one of the bank’s customer care.
The incident that took place on Thursday October 22, left many observers with a great shock as the man is reported to have developed breathing difficulties before before his demise.
Confirming the tragedy, the Central police boss Mark Wanjala said that the 66 year old identified as Michael Jook was not accompanied when he visited the bank. Inspector Mark narrated that the bank’s security team notified them of a VIP client who collapsed and died inside their premises.
The Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) reported in their statement that a customer in their KCB Advantage Branch, Moi avenue, Nairobi, collapsed and died that afternoon during a visit to the branch.
As a result of the incidence, KCB announced a temporary closure of the branch, urging their customers to use other available alternatives to get their services. The bank also condoled with the deceased family.
” We regret that a customer at our KCB Advantage Branch, Moi Avenue, Nairobi, collapsed and died this afternoon during a visit to the branch. We encourage our customers to visit our other Advantage centers or use alternative banking touchpoints such as cash recyclers, ATMs, cash deposits, KCB-M-PESA and internet banking.” read the statement. The body was taken to Lee Funeral Home.
