Harambee Stars Set for Turkey Friendlies Against Madagascar and Comoros

National football team, Harambee Stars, is scheduled to play two international friendly matches in Antalya, Turkey, during the upcoming FIFA window from November 10 to 18, 2025.

As per an official statement from FKF on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, Kenya will start their tour against Madagascar on November 14, and then face Comoros four days later on either November 17 or 18, with the exact date yet to be confirmed.

Head coach Benni McCarthy has selected his final squad for the matches, which includes a mix of young prospects and seasoned players. A key inclusion is teenage midfielder Aldrine Kibet, who is receiving his first call-up to the senior national team.

The Celta Vigo talent has impressed with his creativity and composure at both the club level and within Kenya’s youth national teams.

Also included in the squad is Baron Ochieng from Zamalek, another promising player who has been progressing in his club career. McCarthy has also brought back Ovella Ochieng, whose return after a long absence will add pace and directness to the team’s offensive strategy.

McCarthy has selected Byrne Omondi (Gor Mahia), Brian Bwire (Polokwane City), and Brian Opondo (Tusker FC) for the balanced squad for the friendlies with Turkey. Vincent Harper (Walsall), Sylvester Owino (Gor Mahia), Alphonce Omija (Etoile Du Sahel), Michael Kibwage (Gor Mahia), Ronney Onyango (Sogndal), Manzur Suleiman (Nairobi United), and Baron Ochieng (Zamalek) are among the defense.

Timothy Ouma (Lech Poznan), Duke Abuya (Yanga), Alpha Onyango (Gor Mahia), and Marvin Nabwire (Kenya Police FC) will offer control and balance in midfield. Austine Odhiambo (Gor Mahia), William Lenkupae (VPS), Job Ochieng (Real Sociedad), Boniface Muchiri (Ulinzi Stars), Adam Wilson (New Saints), Aldrine Kibet (Celta Vigo), Ovella Ochieng (Nairobi United), Jonah Ayunga (St Mirren), Ryan Ogam (Wolfsberger), and Lawrence Okoth (SJK Seinajoki) are some of the attack’s options.

McCarthy will have the opportunity to evaluate his players’ preparedness for the two games in advance of forthcoming competitive matches, including World cup and African cup of Nations qualifiers.
