The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced that fuel prices across the country will remain unchanged for the upcoming pricing cycle from October 15 to November 14, 2025.
In a statement released on Monday, EPRA confirmed that the retail prices for Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene will not change during this period. This decision follows the authority’s monthly review as outlined under Section 101(y) of the Petroleum Act 2019 and Legal Notice No. 192 of 2022.
According to the regulator, the maximum pump prices for the three major fuel products will stay the same despite recent fluctuations in global oil prices. This comes after last month’s slight drop in prices, where Super Petrol fell by Sh0.79, Diesel by Sh0.11, and Kerosene by Sh0.80 per litre.
For Kisumu residents, this means fuel prices at the pump will remain as follows:
• Super Petrol – Sh184.37
• Diesel – Sh171.68
• Kerosene – Sh155.03
The same prices apply in Eldoret, while other towns like Nairobi, Mombasa, and Nakuru have slight variations due to transportation and storage costs.
EPRA also noted that the listed prices include a 16% Value Added Tax (VAT) in compliance with the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024, and inflation-adjusted excise duties as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020.
With fuel costs remaining steady, households and businesses in Nyanza can plan their budgets for the next 30 days without worrying about a fuel price hike.
