Inspector General of Police Hilary Mutyambai on Friday ordered the police to enforce government protocols against Covid-19.
Speaking during a joint press conference with Health CS Mutahi Kagwe , Mutyambai reiterated all protocols must be enforced and stepped up and urged the police to take responsibility.
The IG also urged members of the public to cooperate with the police to keep themselves safe.
Mutyambai said all public gatherings including political activities remain prohibited as the country endeavours to deal with the deadly Delta variant of the virus.
