Bruno Dismisses a Possible Transfer Ahead of 2026 World Cup Edition

Manchester United skipper Bruno Fernandes has said that he won’t talk to anyone about his future until after the World Cup next year.

On Saturday, October 25, 2025, the 31-year-old will make his 300th appearance for United as the team looks to snap a three-game losing streak at home against Brighton. The fact that Fernandes has only missed 17 games since joining from Sporting in January 2020 for Ksh8.7 billion, and only three of those were due to illness or injury, adds even more significance to this accomplishment. In the summer, the Portuguese turned down a huge offer from Al-Hilal and then brushed off later interest from the Saudi Pro League and Europe.

Fernandes is aware that there will always be rumors about his future. Major European clubs outside of the Premier League are more interested in him, according to sources close to him who previously told BBC Sport that he has no desire to relocate to Saudi Arabia next summer. Fernandes’ contract, which has an option to be terminated in 2027, is understood.
