The body of a 26-year-old man who went missing in Nairobi on New Year’s Eve has been found in the Kasarani area.
Ian Singoe, who had travelled from Bomet to Nairobi on December 29, 2024, to finalize job-related paperwork, was last seen on December 31 after a night out with friends at a local entertainment spot.
Singoe’s mother, Pauline Korir, reported that he did not return to the residence where he was staying. Relatives checked his phone and noted that it remained active until around 1 AM on January 1, 2025, before it went silent. His body has since been discovered in Kasarani Mwiki, prompting investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death.
In a separate incident in Kiambu County, residents of Kawaida near Banana discovered the lifeless body of 27-year-old John Muchiri Muthoni on Saturday. Muchiri had been reported missing since Friday afternoon. His girlfriend received a call early Saturday directing her to the location of his body. Upon arrival, she found him naked and with visible injuries.
Muchiri’s body has been taken to the Kihara Sub-County Hospital Mortuary, where a postmortem is scheduled for Monday, January 6, 2025. Authorities are investigating both cases as community members seek answers in the wake of these tragic incidents.
