Blue Nile Analytica gives scholarships to 32 Kenyan students

The Blue Nile Analytica has announced that it will provide scholarships to 32 poor and deserving students drawn from 10 schools in Nyanza.

Making the announcement from the Blue Nile Analytica’s Washington DC office, the founder of Blue Nile Analytica Mr. Pius Odhiambo also announced that Blue Nile Analytica has taken over the scholarship functions of Kiswate Scholarship Fund which he founded to provide scholarship to poor students.

Mr. Odhiambo announced that 5% of Blue Nile Analytica’s annual revenue will go towards providing scholarships for needy African children.

Students from St. Anne’s Sega Township

The recipients of the scholarships worth Kshs. 130,000 are drawn from Uyundo Secondary School, Ndenga Secondary School, Ukwala Secondary School, Kagonya Secondary School, Sega Township, Bar Odar Secondary School, Nyamira Girls and Lifunga Secondary School.

Blue Nile Analytica was established to empower institutions in Africa meet the demand for Data Science professionals in the job market.

The company wants to make Africa remain competitive as it joins the rest of the world in Data revolution era. Mr. Pius Odhiambo who hails from Nyanza province in Kenya is a senior Data Scientist based in Washington DC, in the United States of America.

According to Mr. Odhiambo, the recipients of BNA’s scholarship will also be sponsored to study data science when they get to college level. Universities, colleges and students who would more information about Blue Nile Analytica’s programmes can find it below.
