Arsenal beat Man United 3-1 to claim bragging rights in a pulsating Sunday Premier League fixture.
The Gunners looked like gaining back their groove as they dictated the match in a midfield that United looked sloppy at.
The opening goal was by Manchester United when Marcus Rashford curled a long range strike that found Arsenal’s custodian Ramsdale hapless.
However, even before United fans would resume their seats after celebrations, Arsenal’s skipper Martin Ordegaard struck the equaliser that placed the two English soccer giants level at halftime.
United had already celebrated when Alejandro Genahcho converted Rashford’s pass into a goal, but the goal was ruled offside after a VAR review. Before that, VAR again came into focus when it helped the center referee dismiss a penalty claim when Kai Harverts looked like having been fauled by Aaron Wan Bissaka inside the 18-yard box.
Arsenal would then get another goal through their new acquisition in Declain Rice, in the 94 minute of the added time, to make it 2-1. Just before the final whistle, Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus struck the third goal to hand Arsenal an emphatic victory over Man United.
