A tragic accident involving a presidential press vehicle at Ainabkoi Junction along the Eldoret–Nakuru highway resulted ign one fatality and four serious injuries. This incident unfolded around 7 PM on Sunday.
A Prado, en route to Nakuru, collided head-on with a Voxy traveling towards Eldoret. Uasin Gishu Police Commander Benjamin Mwanthi confirmed that the driver of the Voxy died at the scene.
Among the injured were two women, who were accompanied by two male passengers in the Voxy. The injured individuals, including the driver of the Prado, received immediate medical attention and were transported to a hospital in Eldoret.
Witnesses reported that one of the vehicles was overtaking at high speed, which likely contributed to the head-on collision. Fortunately, all injured parties are currently in stable condition.
