Nyali MP Mohammed Ali posted pictures from a holiday gathering with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and his family at the Coast.
On Sunday, December 28, 2025, Ali shared a fun update on social media. He called it a happy holiday catch-up. He thanked them for the kind welcome, fine food, and warm family setting.
A video with the post showed Ali at ease and smiling. He sat with the DCP leader and his family. They shared a big lunch and easy talk at a beach hotel.
Ali, once a journalist, wrote on X: I had a great afternoon with @rigathi. The lunch was tasty. It felt good to visit my close friend and his family. Don’t skip inviting me for Christmas. Today brought full fun, food, laughs, and good times. Happy Holidays, my fellow Kenyans.
This was not Ali’s first hangout with Gachagua. The UDA MP has met him before.
Back in October, Gachagua praised Ali. This came soon after Ali joined top opposition figures. That raised talk about his next political move.
On Saturday, October 4, 2025, Gachagua posted on his X account. He said it was nice to spend the day with Moha. They recalled time in the 12th Parliament. Moha ranks among the young skilled leaders Gachagua mentors.
Gachagua sees a strong future for him in the Coast and Kenya. He likes Moha’s plans to rally the Coast to free the nation.
Gachagua also praised the MP’s toughness. Ali dealt with a bad knee injury. It lasted almost a year after several surgeries. The pain limited his work for Nyali voters.
Gachagua thanked God for healing his friend Hon. Mohamed Ali, known as Jicho Pevu.
