A new twist has emerged in the ongoing family controversy surrounding Kenyan gospel musician Kevin Bahati after another woman surfaced online claiming that she is his biological sister. The development comes just days after DNA tests dismissed earlier claims made by a woman who had alleged she was the singer’s mother.
The issue first gained public attention when a woman identified as Judith Makokha stepped forward, saying she was Bahati’s biological mother. The claim sparked widespread debate on social media because the singer had previously stated that his mother died when he was still young. Despite his doubts, Bahati agreed to undergo a DNA test to verify the claims and settle the matter publicly.
When the results were released, the test reportedly showed that there was no biological relationship between the singer and Makokha. The outcome left the woman emotional, and she later questioned the credibility of the results, suggesting they might have been manipulated. Bahati, however, dismissed the allegation and insisted that the results were accurate.
Shortly after the DNA revelation, another woman appeared in a viral video on TikTok claiming that Makokha is her mother and that Bahati is therefore her brother. In the clip, she expressed disappointment over the outcome of the DNA test and questioned why people were quick to dismiss her mother’s claims.
The woman said her family’s intentions were not connected to the singer’s fame or financial success. According to her, their goal was simply to reconnect with someone they believe to be a relative. She added that her mother had suffered emotionally during the search and insisted that the effort was motivated by a desire for family connection rather than money.
The woman also hinted that she still believes the DNA results might not reflect the truth and maintained that her instincts tell her Bahati is her brother. The singer later shared the video on his social media platforms but reiterated that the DNA results had already settled the matter, urging those involved to accept the outcome and allow him to move on from the controversy.
