For the 5th time, Ghost Mulee is back at the helm of Kenyan National Football team Harambee Stars, as a coach.
Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee ,the Kenyan Association Football coach and radio presenter has been confirmed as the new Harambee Stars head coach .This was confirmed by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) on the 21st of October 2020 in a ceremony held at Safari Park Hotel.
The Radio Jambo ‘patanisho’ presenter signed a three-year deal with the FKF a day after Francis Kimanzi, former Harambee Stars coach was shown the door ,on the 20th of October 2020.
Mulee had his successes with the National Team and also runs a successful football academy at Camp Toyoyo. He is celebrated for taking the Stars in the 2004 African Cup of Nations and is set to qualify the stars to 2021 AFCON to be played in 2022 in Cameroon and 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
His 2020 re-appointment comes after his previous appointments as coach for years; 2003/04 ,2005 ,2007/08, 2010 and now 2020. His first assignment to the club will be against Comoros on November 11 (home) and November 15,2020 (away).
He is expected to be deputized by Musa Otieno, a former Harambee Stars player. Haggai Azande is primed for the goalkeeping coach role.
Jacob Mulee has in the previous years also coached Tanzania’s Yanga, Tusker FC where under his leadership ,won the League three times and Rwanda’s very own APR.
