United Opposition Tells Ruto to Prepare for Exit as 2027 Elections Loom

The United opposition leaders have collectively urged President William Ruto to start gathering his things and prepare to leave State House, as the vision for change is becoming closer to reality in 2027.

While speaking at the funeral of the late Terry Kariuki, who was married to the late veteran J. M. Kariuki in Nakuru, the leaders shared a strong political statement.

Gachagua targets Ruto
“I heard Kasongo crying about a group of five men meeting to divide the government. He has been confused ever since he went to Bondo and shed fake tears. Mama Ida’s family has said Kalonzo is recognized, and now he is lost,” said Rigathi Gachagua, leader of the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP).

“These men and one woman are planning how you will go home. Our job is to remove you from the government; we will figure things out later,” he continued.

The criticisms from other leaders persisted, including remarks by DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa, who mentioned, “Others say the President wishes to converse with us. If he wants to talk to us, it needs to go through our spokesperson. “

Wamalwa’s words supported the united opposition’s stance that they are steering the political conversation as the 2027 elections approach.

The leaders stressed that their collaboration and messaging to the public are crucial to opposing the current government.

Highlighting past wrongs
Kalonzo Musyoka, the leader of Wiper, also took this time to discuss lingering issues.

“The wrongs faced by J. M. Kariuki’s family and others need to be resolved. We have to confront historical wrongs,” Kalonzo stated.

The leaders made these comments on Tuesday after attending Terry Kariuki’s funeral at Kanyamwe Farm in Gilgil, Nakuru County.

Their statements indicate a sustained effort to criticize President Ruto while also using historical issues to gain support from voters.

Observers note that the united opposition is leveraging such events to strengthen their political messages and lay the groundwork for the 2027 general elections.

The combined statements from the leaders also reflect a strategic move to present the current government as out of touch with public and historical matters, solidifying their stance ahead of the elections.
