Tanzanian opposition Leader says Magufuli has Covid19

Tanzanian opposition leader Tundu Lissu has announced that President John Pombe Magufuli who was has not been seen in public for the last 11 days has had corona virus and is being treated for cardiac arrest in Nairobi Kenya

President Magufuli who declared that his country had defeated the corona virus has not been transparent with corona virus cases in his country and stopped testing in May 2020.

However after the death of the 1st Vice President of Zanzibar Maalim Seif and that of his top aide the President seemed to acknowledge the presence of the disease and announced that Tanzania would win again through prayers.

Mr. Lissu alleged that that he was informed that President Magufuli was flown to Kenya for treatment at Nairobi Hospital on Monday night. According to Lissu, the government’s silence was fuelling rumours, was irresponsible, and the president’s health should not be a private matter.

In his latest update, Lissu says that Magufuli may be sneaked out from Nairobi hospital to India.

The latest update from Nairobi: “They’re planning to sneak him out to India to avoid social media embarrassment from Kenyans. They feel that it’ll be more embarrassing if the worst happened in Kenya.” The most powerful man in Tanzania is now being sneaked about like an outlaw! tweeted Lissu from his hideout in Europe 3 hours ago.

Making reference to a Nation Africa report (below) Lissu says “It’s a sad comment on his stewardship of our country that it’s come to this: that he himself had get COVID-19 and be flown out to Kenya in order to prove that prayers, steam inhalations and other unproven herbal concoctions he’s championed are no protection against coronavirus!”
