Tanzanian Health Minister Dorothy Gwajima has called for deeper technical cooperation between Kenya and Tanzania in the fight against Covid-19.
Gwajima said that in Nairobi during a joint press conference after holding a consultative meeting with Kenyan Health Ministry officials led by Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe.
Gwajima said Kenya and Tanzania are one family and thus there’s need strengthen cross border collaboration in addressing health and other cross cutting issues.
Gwajima said that technical officials and scientists have a duty to provide the right technical and scientific advice to their leaders to enable them make informed decisions.
Gwajima’s visit comes after Tanzania resumed efforts to fight covid19 by launching vaccination and other efforts which had been suspended by former President John Magufuli who passed on in March this year.
