Spate of Fatal Incidents Reported Across Different Counties.

A tragic incident unfolded in Kadzandani, Mombasa County, where a rider lost his life after being electrocuted at a car wash yard. Local authorities and witnesses identified the victim as 37-year-old Daniel Mungai Kinuthia.

On Sunday, Kinuthia visited his regular washing spot in the Mwembeni area, only to find the attendants absent. Opting to wash his motorcycle himself, he was electrocuted during the process. Emergency responders rushed him to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The authorities have since moved his body to the mortuary, pending an autopsy, and are actively investigating the incident. Many similar occurrences have been attributed to illegal power connections and unqualified individuals handling electrical wiring.

In a separate incident, a dispute between two brothers in a bar in Yatta, Machakos County, escalated tragically. On Sunday morning, Dennis Mwanzia Wambua, 26, sustained a fatal punch to the head during an argument. He later expressed concern about his injury and was transported to a local hospital, where he was also pronounced dead on arrival. Police have taken the other brother into custody for questioning and are preparing for his arraignment, while the deceased’s body has been sent to the mortuary for an autopsy.

In Kimilili, Bungoma County, authorities discovered a man’s body in Kibisi River, suspected to be a murder victim. Police reported that the deceased had a deep cut on the back of his head, likely inflicted by a sharp object. The body has been transferred to the mortuary for identification and further investigation.

Additionally, in Moi’s Bridge area, Uasin Gishu County, a mechanic tragically lost his life when an engine block he was working on collapsed and trapped him. He had elevated the engine of a tractor for repairs when it slipped. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. His body has also been moved to the mortuary for an autopsy.

Lastly, authorities identified the bodies of two men discovered in a forest in Gede, Kilifi County. Police confirmed one victim as 39-year-old Ruben Athman Nzuya from Nyali, Mombasa, and the other as 36-year-old Abu Mohamed Salim from Vanga, Kwale County. The motive behind their murder remains unclear, though one of the men bore two bullet wounds. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding their deaths and identify the perpetrators.
