Raila Odinga launches nationwide mass action

Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odinga has announced the start of a nationwide mass action to force President William Ruto to comply with the demands he had given in his ultimatum.

The opposition launched the mass action at the Jaramogi Oginga Center on Thursday 9th March in the presence of other party leaders Jeremiah Kioni of Jubilee Party, Kalonzo Musyoka of Wiper, Marth Karua of NARC Kenya, Eugene Wamalwa of DAP Kenya.

“Fellow Kenyans starting today and now, we hereby announce the official start of a nationwide mass action” Said Raila Odinga.

“We unleash the people’s power for action and unleash the Movement for the Defence of Democracy. We launched a massive peaceful movement of defiance against the illegitimate Kenya Kwanza regime” Said Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

The opposition leaders issued the directive after the 14-day ultimatum Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition leader issued to the President lapsed.  Among the demands issued to President Ruto include the opening of the 2022 presidential election servers, address the high cost of living to halt the arbitrary recruitment of IEBC commissioners.
