Azimio presidential aspirant Raila Odinga on Saturday 28 May attended the funeral service of the late Tabitha Nasipwondi Nabwera in Kiminini Tranzoia County.
The late Tabitha who passed on at 84 is the wife to former powerful cabinet Minister and ambassador Burudi Nabwera who served during the era of the second President Daniel arap Moi and served as Lurambi North MP for two terms from 1969-1979.
Raila was accompanied by Western Kenya politicians including Defence Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, Bungoma Governor Wyclieff Wangamati, Suna Eat MP Junet Mohammed amongst others.
In the 1960s Burudi served as ambassador to theĀ US and permanent representative to the UN before retiring from the diplomatic service to enter politics. Burudi quit politics in 1992 after losing his Lugari parliamentary seat to Apili Wawire.
