Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai has appointed the Deputy Inspector General of Police Noor Gabow to act as Inspector General of Police as he takes medical absence.
In a statement titled Absence from Office, Mutambai says “This is to inform the general public that I will be away from office attending to a medical check up effective today 26th August 2022. In my absence, Mr. Noor Gabow the Deputy Inspector General Administration Police Service will act as the Inspector General of the National Police Service until my return”
Gabow was recently in the limelight when he e took charge of Bomas tallying centre during the chaos caused by Azimio agents and managed to restore law and order. Were not for his personal command, the likes of Saitabao Ole Kanchory would have succeeded to cause more fracas.
