Alongside his wife, veteran actress Joke Silva, he co-founded the Lufodo Group and the Lufodo Academy of Performing Arts, which played a crucial role in nurturing and developing aspiring performers.

His illustrious career encompassed stage productions, television shows, and films, earning him numerous accolades, including the national honor of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) in 2011.

Jacobs’ son, Olusoji Jacobs, announced his father’s passing, affectionately referring to him as “The Lion of Lufodo.” His death sparked an outpouring of tributes from actors, filmmakers, government officials, and fans across Nigeria and beyond.
