Captain William Ruto’s daughter, Mitchell Jelimo Kemboi, will be laid to rest on Friday, April 10, at their Kabarak home in Nakuru County, as announced by the family.
Mitchell tragically lost her life in a car accident last Friday in Taveta constituency, Taita Taveta County. The family was en route to Serengeti National Park for the Easter holiday when their vehicle collided with a stationary trailer that lacked proper signage.
Mitchell succumbed to her injuries at the scene, while the remaining family members were hospitalized but have since been discharged.
The family has organized a fundraiser to assist with funeral expenses, scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, at Mochongoi in Baringo South constituency, Baringo County, beginning at 2 PM.
On Wednesday, Mitchell’s body will be transported from the Mombasa hospital mortuary to Nakuru County. A funeral service will take place at Mochongoi on Thursday at 10 AM, followed by her burial at Captain Ruto’s home in Kabarak on Friday.
“Our heartfelt condolences extend to the family and friends during this challenging time. We wish them comfort and strength,” KPA expressed in a statement.
“Rest well, Mitchell. Sleep in eternal peace.”
