Millie Odhiambo Reacts After Oburu Admits Secret Crush

Suba North Member of Parliament (MP) Millie Odhiambo has reacted to Oburu Oginga’s admission of secretly having a crush on her.

While speaking in Ugunja on Saturday, November 8, 2025, Millie expressed her disappointment that Oburu never found the courage to share his feelings, humorously suggesting that she could have been the wife of a party leader.

Known as the rebellious figure in Kenyan politics, Millie, who is currently married to Zimbabwean national Mabona, lamented that Oburu never expressed his attraction to her.

Secret admirer

“I’ve heard that the ‘youth leader’ admitted he used to admire me. I can’t believe my party leader. He just kept admiring me quietly and gazing at a beautiful girl like me until the Zimbabwean man swept me off my feet. I wonder, my youth leader,” she remarked in her local dialect.

“Now that he’s the leader of the party, I would have been in a great position. But it’s now slipped away from me,” she mentioned.

Millie’s comments came after Oburu Oginga confessed to having feelings for the female legislator during the funeral of Otieno Kajwang’s widow, Rose Otieno, in Nyanza.

Oburu had the mourners laughing with his admission.

Love-struck Oburu
The seasoned politician reminisced about their first encounter and the strong impression she made on him.

“I got to know Millie Gesa Gesa through Kajwang. At that time, we were campaigning for Raila. Kajwang and I had agreed that Raila would handle the national campaigns, while we would engage with people at the grassroots. Our goal was to rally them to come out in large numbers. When we arrived in Busia, we discovered that she had organized everything: accommodations, meals, and speaking arrangements. Kajwang and I were just focused on politics. Millie took care of all the details. I admired Millie for that. She was so stunning that sometimes she left me a bit bewildered. We campaigned for Jakom together,” Oburu reminisced.
