
Kenya Power has scheduled power interruptions on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, across various regions to facilitate essential network maintenance and upgrades, enhancing electricity supply reliability. The company encourages affected customers to prepare in advance and arrange alternatives.
In Nairobi, Parklands will experience outages from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, impacting residents and businesses along Laxcon, Kongonis, Ojijo Road, and more. Kilimani and Ngong Road will face interruptions from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, affecting areas on Ngong Road, Muchai Drive, and Coptic Hospital.
Outside Nairobi, Machakos County will see power cuts on Namanga Road, impacting Alliance Concrete and surrounding customers. In Kathiani, numerous areas, including College Road and Mumbuni, will also be affected.
The North Rift Region, particularly Uasin Gishu County, will experience outages in Kesses, Ngecheck, and surrounding areas. In the Western Region, Bungoma County will face cuts near Nzoia Sugar Factory, while Kakamega County will see outages at Lutasao Market and adjacent communities. Kisumu County will have blackouts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM around Koru Market and nearby locations.
Nyeri County in the Mt. Kenya Region will experience power cuts affecting Rititi Market, Gatunganganga Market, and other nearby areas. In the North Eastern Region (Kiambu County), significant outages will impact St. Linda, Gatong’ora, and surrounding neighborhoods.
