ODM leader Raila Odinga’s better half, Ida Odinga has launched Sh.300m legacy project in Homa Bay County set to be completed before 2022.
The project at her alma mater Ogande Girls Secondary School will comprise a library, ICT lab, learning and resource centre. With the blueprints ready Ida has now embarked on a massive fundraising for the project.
Corporate organizations, foreign diplomats and dignitaries have been invited for a fundraiser towards bringing the project to life. Sources say she has raised roughly Sh.30million.
“This is my legacy proejct and as i celebrate 70years i want to pursue it to tail end,” said Dr. Ida
The funds drive is set to be held virtually via a video link at a Nairobi Hotel, with only a few invited to attend physically. The rest will be taken through the project designs and thereafter requested to send in their endowment.
