President William Ruto used the last day of his Kisii Nyanza tour to appeal to Azimio leader Raila Odinga to stop sabotaging his administration and allow him to work for the Kenyan people.
The President reminded Raila Odinga that they have worked together before and that defended Odinga during the 2007 elections that saw him become Kenya’s Prime Minister which was his greatest political achievement.
The President said that he was accused at the International Criminal Court in the Hague for standing by Raila Odinga. “I supported and campaigned for you in 2007, I voted for you. Now for the sake of human decency Agwambo, when will you ever reciprocate vote for me?” posed the Head of State.
Ruto said that of all the people who stood with Raila in 2007, he is the only one who was accused at the Hague for standing by Odinga and it was unfair for him to incite demonstrations against his young administration.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua that it is very unfair for the learned people of Nyanza to be reduced to the indignity of weekly street demonstrations.
