Hellen Obiri wins silver in 10,000m final in Oregon

Kenyan runner Hellen Osando Obiri has won a silver medal in the10,000 meters final at the World Athletics Championships ongoing in Oregon USA.

The race was won by Letsenebet Gidey from Ethiopia who took Gold while another Kenyan Margaret Chelimo Kipkemboi won bronze medal for team Kenya.

Meanwhile, Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala failed to qualify for the 100m finals at the ongoing World Athletics Championships in Oregon. The sensational Kenyan printer finished 5th position with a time of 10.14 thus missing out on the finals.

The 100M finals was won by American Fred Kerley who took Gold with a time of 9.86 Seconds followed by fellow Americans Bracy who took silver in 9.88sec, and Trayvon Bromell who claimed bronze with a time of 9.88 seconds
