Goons invade Uhuru Kenyatta’s Northland farm

Gangs invaded attacked a farm belonging to the family of former President Uhuru Kenyatta in Northlands Nairobi.

Teh invasion happened on the same day the Raila Odinga led Azimio coalition was holding their second weekly protests to pressurize the government to bring the cost of living dow.

Mobs descended to the farm belonging to the Kenyatta family and cut down trees, stole hundreds of Livestock and later set the vast property on fire.

The looters ferried the animals and sold the animals for as low as Kshs. 1000. The armed goons cut down the fence and invaded the farm from the Kamakis road. More than 1000 livestock were stolen from the property in broad light with no action from the security agencies. The invasion followed threats from Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa who recently accused former president Kenyatta of financing the Azimio protests.

Opposition leader Raila Odinga condemned the invasion on the Kenyatta property and his gas cylinder manufacturing firm Spectre. Speaking in Kibra during the demonstrations, Odinga said the move was cowardly, ill-informed and illegal and accused Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua of orchestrating the same.

Northlands on Fire

“Today they have sent goons to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s farm and sent individuals to my Spectre firm. That’s a stupid, cowardly, and foolish move,” said Raila.

Odinga questioned why his rivals in government were working against the law yet the opposition coalition had confined themselves within the confines of the law.

“We are doing politics within the law and the constitution allows protests. It allows Kenyans to meet and converge and protest within the law,” he stated.
