
The newly appointed CEO and Commission Secretary of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission Dr. Skitter Mbugua was on Friday December 11, 2022 officially sworn into office in the presence of the outgoing Chief Justice and President of the Supreme Court of Kenya David Maraga in Nairobi.
Dr. Mbugua who joined the commission from the Kisii County government where she was the CEC for Energy, Water and Environment & Natural Resources was accompanied by the NCIC Chairman Rev. Dr. Samuel Kobia and fellow commissioners. Also present at the ceremony were Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu, former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka among other dignitaries.
She previously served as CEC in Education, Labour and Manpower Development; Energy, Water, Environment and Natural Resources; and Roads departments within Kisii County. Prior to that, she worked as lecturer, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST).
She holds a Doctorate Degree in Physics, a Masters Degree in Physics from Moi University and a Bachelors Degree in Education (Science) from Egerton University.
