The Government spokesman Colonel Cyrus Oguna has announced that he has tested positive for the Covid19. In a statement earlier today, Oguna in his statement said that he developed symptoms related to coronavirus after his return from a duty assignment outside the Nairobi.
“Recently having come from an assignment out of town, I developed mild coronavirus related symptoms and got tested. The results came out positive for coronavirus and I’m now receiving medical care and responding well to the treatment at an isolation and treatment facility.” Col. Oguna said.
He also added that his family is okay and contact tracing for the people he might have met is on – going. In addition, Oguna urged Kenyans to take the Covid19 disease seriously and observe all the necessary precautions to avoid being infected.
“Contact tracing is ongoing and my family is okay. I urge all Kenyans to take this disease seriously and take all the necessary precautions to avoid getting infected.” Oguna said. Kenyans on social media have wished the Government spokesperson Cyrus Oguna a quick recovery.
