ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo on the morning of February 15th hosted a working with selected professionals and political leaders from Nyanza to discuss development programmes in the region.
The CS posted on his twitter ” Accompanied by Interior PS, we have this morning had a working session with professionals and several political leaders from Nyanza. The focus is now on implementation of development programmes as enshrined in The President’s Bottom Up Economic Development Transformation Agenda.”
In a bid to win over Luo Nyanza which is oppositioon leader Raila Odinga’s political bedrock, Owalo has recently scaled up his engagements with political leaders from his Luo Nyanza backyard as more MPs signal working with President William Ruto’s government.
Last month, President Ruto toured the region a week ago to launch several development projects in what signified thawed ties with political leaders from the region and was received very well by the people. However Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odinga has lately kicked of storm by reprimanding MPS from the region who visited President Ruto at Statehouse calling them traitors. The ODM leader has also been on an election denial campaigning by holding rallies where he said he doesnt recognize the presidency of His Excellency Wiliam Ruto.
