Buruburu Girls High School has been closed and students sent home as investigations commence to know the cause of Sunday’s fire.
The school’s Kingdom dormitory caught fire on Sunday evening leading to the hospitalisation of several students at the nearing Metropolitan Hospital and Jamaa Hospital. The school’s authorities however, said none of the students sustained burns but sevral inhaled smoke fumes.
A video footage that went viral on social media showed some of the students jumping off from higher floors as onlookers watched helplessly.
The school’s administration has warned that any girl found to be involved in the fire incident will face the law.
