Alai attacks Governor Sakaja over garbage crisis in Kawangware

In a late-night message, vocal ODM politician Robert Alai has taken aim at Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, criticizing his handling of garbage management in Kawangware. Alai, known for his strong opposition to the Sakaja administration, accused the UDA Governor of neglecting the residents by failing to address a serious waste disposal issue plaguing the area.

Alai alleged that Sakaja’s reluctance to tackle the garbage problem stems from his concerns over Alai’s growing relationship with President William Ruto. “I hear that Sakaja has refused to work to remove this garbage, saying that I am getting too close to the President, so he must cut me down to size,” Alai asserted.

In a bold statement directed at the Governor, Alai declared that Sakaja cannot defeat him, emphasizing that he is politically rooted in the legacy of Raila Odinga. “You can’t finish he whom you didn’t make. I am Raila’s creation,” he added.

As the situation in Kawangware continues to deteriorate, Alai’s remarks highlight the ongoing tensions between his camp and the Sakaja administration, raising questions about the Governor’s commitment to addressing the urgent needs of Nairobi’s residents.
