Machakos Senator Agnes Kavindu confidently stated that no amount of money or political influence can sway Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to support President William Ruto.
Speaking at the 20th commemoration of Kalonzo’s late mother, Mama Sarah Malia Musyoka, in Tseikuru, Kitui County, on Thursday, September 24, 2026, Kavindu expressed her unwavering support for Kalonzo.
She encouraged him to pursue the presidency and take the lead in transforming Kenya, declaring, “The time is now. It’s now or never. No turning back. Just as the sons of Issachar recognized the times, your moment to lead and liberate Kenya is here.”
Kavindu dismissed rumors from some UDA members suggesting that Kalonzo could be bought or persuaded to support Ruto. “To those spreading such claims, let it be known that you cannot buy Kalonzo. You might have the means to purchase the world, but he remains unshakeable.”
She emphasized that Kalonzo cannot be influenced by money or political power, stating, “His true desire is to liberate and deliberate for Kenya.”
Highlighting Kalonzo’s experience, Kavindu asserted that he possesses the necessary qualities to tackle the challenges facing the nation. “This isn’t just because he hails from Ukambani; it’s about the unique experience he brings that no one else possesses.”
Kavindu called on fellow leaders to unite behind Kalonzo and grant him the opportunity to lead. “They should support him and provide the chance for him to rescue Kenya.”
Linking her support to Kalonzo’s integrity, she affirmed, “He is not corrupt and is as pure as snow. He is the one capable of combating corruption effectively.”
Kavindu argued that only a leader free from corruption can truly address the issue. “Many leaders struggle against corruption because it retaliates. You cannot fight corruption if you are entangled in it. Kalonzo, being untainted, is the only one who can eradicate it.”
Drawing comparisons to infrastructure in Cape Town, she expressed optimism for Kenya’s future under a corruption-free presidency. “Having visited Cape Town, I witnessed their impressive infrastructure. With a president who is not corrupt, Kenya can surpass Cape Town and even South Africa.”
She concluded by thanking the residents of Tseikuru for supporting what she called “this hero,” referring to Kalonzo, and assured them that his supporters will continue to campaign across the nation.
