More pain for Kenyans as EPRA increases fuel by Kshs. 9

Government announces double digit Fuel Increase

The Energy and Petroleum Regulations Authority (EPRA) has once again increased fuel prices this time by a whooping nine shillings.

This is the fifth time in a row that EPRA has increased fuel prices in its monthly review. As a result, the cost of unleaded petrol now costs Kshs. 159.10 per litre up from Kshs 150.10 while diesel cost is Ksh. 140.

EPRA has attributed the increase to the rise of landing cost of imported fuel. Previous increases of fuel have been at average of Kshs but which have seen the high-rocketing of commodity prices in the country.
