
In the search for new Principal Secretaries (PS), a total of 109 candidates have been shortlisted from a pool of 2,517 applicants, highlighting a diverse array of public figures among the finalists.
Notable names on the list include Dr. Patrick Amoth, the Director-General for Health, and Dr. Ouma Oluga, the former Secretary-General of the Kenya Medical Practitioners Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU). Also featured are former Chief Administrative Secretary David Osiany and social media commentator Gabriel Oguda, alongside former nominated MP Wilson Sossion.
Additional candidates include Anne Makori, the former chair of the Independent Police Oversight Authority (IPOA), Micah Powon, who previously served as Principal Secretary in the State Department for Development of Arid and Semi-Arid Lands, and Dr. Macharia Irungu, the former managing director of Kenya Pipeline Company.
The selection process aims to identify qualified individuals who will contribute effectively to the government’s objectives. The shortlisted candidates will now await further instructions as the appointment process moves forward.
