His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday 13th June 2022 opened the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)’s ultra-modern National Forensic Laboratory at Mazingira House, off Kiambu Road Nairobi.
The highly specialized laboratory is a Vision 2030 flagship project aimed at boosting Kenya’s capabilities to fight complex crimes through interventions such as DNA profiling; weapons and ballistics testing; and document examination.
The President directed the Ministry of Interior to work with other agencies to strengthen Kenya’s cybersecurity.
