Robin Ochieng, popularly known as Gaucho, has publicly condemned social media users and bloggers for linking him to the violent attacks on protesters during the 17th June Nairobi demonstrations, where several individuals were seriously injured.
In a heated statement, Gaucho dismissed the allegations as false, insisting that he was not involved in the chaos that erupted in the Central Business District (CBD).
He further stated that he is ready to sue the hater – bloggers, mentioning Embakasi East Mp Babu Owino’s blogger Meverick Aoko.
Gaucho argued that a video circulating online, allegedly showing him inciting violence, was recorded on 12th March – three months before the protests.

He maintains that he was at home in Umoja estate on the day of the demonstrations and had no connection to the events.
“I’m not even aware of what happened in Nairobi CBD that day. I was with my family following updates from home. I didn’t even go to work that day. These haters should leave me alone,” Gaucho stated.
The controversial figure claims that the relentless online attacks and physical surveillance by bloggers have put his life in danger.
He alleges that some individuals are tracking his movements, even visiting supermarkets and public places to monitor him.
“I fear for my life now. These people are after me, calling me names and spreading lies. I have nothing to do with the protests or any attacks,” he added.
The allegations against Gaucho have sparked debate, with some social media users demanding accountability while others question the validity of the claims.
As investigations into the protest violence continue, Gaucho insists he is being unfairly targeted and urges authorities to intervene before the situation escalates further.
