
Police in Rangwe sub-County, Homa Bay County, have apprehended a bishop from a local church in Ndiru village, Kokoko Sub-location, for allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse with his biological daughter.
The arrest followed complaints from community members who reported the disturbing incident to officers at the Ndiru police station. Eyewitnesses indicated that the bishop was discovered in the act with his daughter, who is a mother to three children.
Rangwe Sub-County Police Commander Magdaline Chebet confirmed that authorities received information from concerned residents regarding the bishop’s alleged conduct. It was reported that the daughter, who had been married but is now separated from her husband, was involved in this troubling situation.
Acting on the tip-off, the Officer Commanding Station (OCS) and a team of officers from Ndiru police station visited the bishop’s residence and arrested him in response to the public outcry.
Following his arrest, the bishop was taken to Ndiru police station, where he is currently being held while investigations continue.
The daughter was subjected to a medical assessment and questioned before being released. The community remains in shock over the incident, and police have assured that thorough investigations are ongoing to address the serious allegations against the clergy member.
