Raila Odinga to lead Azimio Prayers at Jeevanjee

Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party leader Raila Odinga will today lead the opposition political outfit for prayers for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

The prayers which will be held at the Jeevanjee gardens just a few meters from the IEBC Anniversary Towers are part of the outfit’s commitment to continue with nationwide rallies in a bid to compel the government to own up to what it terms electoral injustices at the 2022 polls.

“Tomorrow we will hold prayers at Jeevanjee Gardens in Nairobi. On Saturday, we will tour Kakamega and on Sunday Kitale,” Announced the opposition leader at a burial in Ukambani adding that they will tour Mombasa and Kiambu next week.

The opposition leaders including Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua and DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa have held over 50 public engagement meetings meant to among other things call for electoral reforms, pursue justice and push the government to address the high cost of living.

Azimio accuses the electoral agency of stealing its victory during the August 9 polls and its leadership says they will converge at Jeevanjee Gardens to seek divine intervention for IEBC in their quest for justice.
