
Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party leader Raila Odinga will this weekend jet out of the country for a one-week visit to the United States. According to a statement sent to newsrooms by his spokesman Dennis Onyango, Raila will attend the U.S – Africa leaders summit to be held in Washington, D.C.
The Azimio chief will leave the country on Saturday and arrive in the U.S on Monday, then participate in the summit from December 13 – 15, 2022.
“He will be attending the meeting in his capacity as the African Union High Representative for Infrastructure Development. In that capacity, he will lead discussions on promotion of investment in infrastructure and attainment of Just Energy Transition,” wrote Mr. Onyango.
“Mr. Odinga is also lined up for a series of meetings with leaders from the public and private sectors and civil society organizations on the sidelines of the Summit.” He added: “He will be back in the country by December 18, 2022 to proceed with planned public programs.”
