
Raila Odinga has now walked back his earlier threats to lead his supporters to storm statehouse and said they will only go the Presidents office in the City Center to present a memorandum to President Ruto.
He however said that should they not find President Ruto at Harambee House, they will send a representation of two to three people to Statehouse to present the memorandum to the President.
“We will hand over the Petition to the President Ruto wherever he is” said Odinga.
Speaking to Citizen TV reporter Sam Gituku at his Karen residence, the Azimio One Kenya leader said the the protests have been necessitated by 3 key issues which the president has ignored. He complained about licences given to friends of politicians to import maize while Kenyans were starving.
He also said the IEBC servers must be opened to ascertain who between he and President Ruto actually won the elections saying four commissioners disowned the results announced by Chebukati and demanded that the Cherera Four IEBC commissioners must be reinstated.
Raila also claimed that the ongoing recruitment process should be stopped immediately by President Ruto claimed the panel is a biased panel which will only favour President Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance.
