Ida Odinga and CS Murkomen launch inaugural Migori flight

Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has today officially launched an inaugural flight to Migori County.

The occasion was presided over by Mama Ida Odinga, majority leader in the national assembly Kimani Ichungwa, Migori County senator Eddie Oketch among other dignitaries.

The cabinet secretary for transport was upbeat that the inaugural flight to Migori County would open up the new market for other commuters plying the Nairobi-Migori route – and Kenyans at large. “Together, we are opening up new horizons for our county and region, facilitating business growth, and promoting the free flow of ideas and opportunities,” Murkomen added.

The CS was speaking at Wilson Airport where he launched Skyward Express flights from Wilson Airport to Migori.

The flights will be three in a week: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The flight from Wilson airport to Migori airport will cost a commuter a paltry Ksh. 8,600. “Proud to have been part of this historic milestone achieved by Skyward Express. Together, we are opening up new horizons for our county and region, facilitating business growth, and promoting the free flow of ideas and opportunities.

“This is a pivotal moment, promising economic benefits for the region. From boosting tourism, to enhancing trade and investment, the impact of this new flight route can’t be overstated.” Murkomen said.
