Advocate Mahat Somane appearing for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has trashed the petitioners case on various issues and told them that the declaration of William Ruto as President Elect was properly done and asked them to get over it.
Somane presented comparative data on the allegation of voter suppression “The allegation of voter suppression due to postponement of the elections is not a question of hypothesis, it is a question of facts and numbers.”
He said that 64.6% turnout announced by Chebukati was not based on the gazetted voter register, it was based on the reporting Kiems kits.
Somane scoffed Murgor’s testimony that form 34As were edited and said “If their is a technology anywhere in the market that can change PDF file to CSV, edit and Reconvert to PDF while reserving the handwriting and signatures we want to patent it”
